Cleaning & Removing Stains
Some Little Dragon fabrics have a stain-repellent finish. A special coating helps these fabrics to repel spills and stains, but not dust or dry soiling.
Points to bear in mind when cleaning:
  • Remove any marks immediately. If you are lucky, ordinary tap water may do the trick.
  • If you don’t know what caused the stain, it may be best to let an stain removal expert take a look at it. Otherwise you risk ‘washing in’ the stain rather than washing it out.
  • To make sure that you don’t damage the fabric, it is always advisable to test stain removers on an area of the fabric where it is not visible.
  • Remember, stains should be ‘lifted’, not rubbed away.
How to get rid of stubborn marks and stains?
1. Try to ‘lift’ the stain with a clean cotton rag or a sponge.
2. Put a small amount of stain remover/fabric cleaner on a rag. If the fabric cover is removable, it is best to deal with the stain from the reverse side of the fabric. If you do this, lay the fabric face down on a clean towel while you are working.
3. Dab on the recommended amount of liquid. Work from the edges of the stain in towards the middle.
4. Move the fabric on the towel now and again while you are working.
5. Rinse clean with liberal amounts of water.
If you are using a stain remover or fabric cleaner, follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully. Should you pour too much of the cleaning fluid onto the fabric, dab it off with water and a clean cloth.

Using too much stain remover or fabric cleaner can leave an unsightly mark on the fabric!

Points to bear in mind when machine washing removable covers.
  • Do not put the covers in with any other washing.
  • Read and follow the washing instructions given on the label sewn onto the fabric.
  • Stretch the covers gently while they are still wet.
  • Hang them up to dry.
  • Important! Extra care is needed when tumble drying.
  • Iron the reverse side of the fabric
Remember: To prevent any visible differences in colour shades after washing, always wash all the covers at the same time.
